No matter how fast you’re going, or what gear you’re in, the acceleration of the all-new Morgan Plus Four is effortless. This outstanding performance is thanks to the car’s exceptionally low weight – from just 1007 kg dry – and its BMW 2.0-litre four-cylinder Twin Power Turbo engine, which produces 255 bhp and up to 295 lb ft of torque.
In the automatic variant, 0-62 mph takes just 4.8 seconds (manual model: 5.2 seconds), and the acceleration doesn’t stop until the car reaches its top speed of 149 mph.
The Morgan Plus Four has been given a range of updates for 2023, picking up significant changes to the chassis’, technology and safety systems.
These changes begin under the skin, where the suspension has been modified with new dampers and bushes. The new dampers, which are still passive, promise improved compliance at low speeds and better control at high speeds. These are paired with new bushes that increase low-frequency refinement, making the Plus Four more compliant and therefore more composed over rough roads.
The braking systems have also been completely redesigned, with new hardware developed in collaboration with AP Racing and fresh ABS and ESP systems from Continental. The new ESP system is a first for Morgan, and is variable in calibration depending on the selected drive mode. The ESP system has also been calibrated specifically for each powertrain variant, be that the four-cylinder in six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic forms. Morgan’s also added new passive safety features, incorporating front driver and passenger airbags for the first time.
The driving experience is just as important as the figures the Plus Four achieves. Choose between an intelligent eight-speed automatic, with comfort, sport, sport plus and manual modes, and a six-speed manual gearbox. It marks the first time a Plus Four has been available with a manual, or factory-fitted automatic gearbox.
The driver-focused interior of the all-new Plus Four has more space than ever before. Standard features, not previously available on a Plus Four, include central locking and a digital driver information display, while newly introduced options include LED puddle lights and air conditioning
One of the unique features of any Morgan is that it is hand-built. At Williams Morgan we have many years of experience and can help you choose the perfect specification for your car. Many owners therefore take advantage of the extensive list of options to design their own bespoke Morgan and we can help you do just this. When creating a bespoke Morgan, an owner can choose from a huge range of factory fitted options, virtually any colour of paintwork and a selection of around 50 colours and types of leather for the interior. Then in case that’s not enough choice, there's also a range of different carpet and hood colours! Deciding on the specification of a Morgan is a lot of fun and a process not to be rushed. Many would-be owners visit the Morgan Factory to help get the creative juices flowing! The end result of all this choice, is one of the most admired and individual cars available on the road today. To own and drive a Morgan is a pleasure that takes some beating!
Alloy wheels, a choice of 4 sports colours and a black leather with grey textile to seat centre panel within door card and seat back are all standard options on the Plus Four. The Plus Four comes as
standard with a roof, windscreen and side screens. A mohair hood in black is standard and a range of different
colours can be specified. As with any Morgan, an extensive range of personalisation
options are available to ensure your Morgan is truly unique.
The Morgan Plus Four features a black mohair easy up hood as standard. The easy up hood enables one person to easily put up or take down the roof quickly and easily. When down, the hood does not compromise the beautiful clean lines of the car and is available to specify in a range of coloured mohair material configurations at a small cost.
