One of only circa 400 cars ever made.
Being an early chassis (#44) the vehicle has been subject to numerous updates and modifications.
The current owner started the Noble Owners Club officially sanctioned by the factory. The club worked with the factory to improve the car for every day use and this resulted in multiple modifications.
Many of the mods were done FOC in the factory (so undocumented as far as billing was concerned) but some were paid for as the owner helped the factory thrive as a business.
The owners personal enthusiasm extended to helping Noble with their IT and manning their stands at the Motorshow on year in Birmingham.
The car was Noble's development vehicle for the 6 speed upgrade. As far as we know there were only two 2.5L cars with this upgrade.
From the service history/bills the top end engine refurb was due to Noble not fitting the required pressure reduction valves to the turbos resulting in too much oil getting into the inlet tracts. This required “a lot” of cleaning rather than being anything faulty or broken as such.
The only other major issue during the car lifetime was a noisy gear train bearing that required an engine out rebuild.
- The car has been driven by Lee Noble himself
- The car featured on front of Auto Express with a half page inside as part of an article on “Other British” cars registered in 2008!
Primarily the car has been used as every day car for commuting (around the M25!)
Always garaged and on trickle charger when not in use.
The current owner is an Engineer so knows how to treat machinery sympathetically/carefully.
