Henry Williams

Henry Williams

Managing Director

Henry is the fourth generation family member to run Williams Automobiles. At the age of 25 Henry sold the main dealer franchises run from city centre premises and started again building the company to its present status. In 2014 at the age of 29 Henry won the Institute of Directors Entrepreneur of the Year award and also the South Wests Young Entrepreneur award.  In 2015 in won the Class D trophy and overall points winner of the Morgan Challenge in which he races. 

Richard Williams

Richard Williams

Chairman

Richard is the third generation member of the family and is our chairman. Richard took over the company in the 70's growing and building it over 30 years before Henry took over in 2011. Richard is well known in the UKs motor trade circles having sat on many committees for the motor industry including the NFDA (National Federation Dealer Association where he advises the government on the motor industry. Richard is in work for a few hours each day and enjoys speaking to our many customers. 

Paul Tovey

Paul Tovey

Sales Director

Paul joined Henry in 2009 as his sports car salesman and after the move helped build the business up to where it is today. In 2016 Paul was made Sales Director for all his hard work and commitment. Paul enjoys racing and races a Caterham in the Caterham Roadsport series. Paul also joys boating both sailing and power boats.

 

Tony Davey

Service Manager

Tony joined Williams at the age of 16 years old almost 34 years ago and started work as a mechanic. Over the years Tony worked his way from a mechanic to a service advisor leaving Williams to join Eastgate Mazda in the mid 1990s. In early 2000s Tony came back to run the service department for our new Mazda business. After Henry sold out Tony remained at the old business for a few years before rejoining Williams to run the ever-growing service department. Tony has lots of skills having been the motor trade his whole life.  Tony’s other passion is Bristol City Football Club.

Nick Bussell

Nick Bussell

Parts Manager

Nick joined Williams in June 2011 during the move and has built up the aftersales department. In the early days after the move he worked as both service adviser and in parts. Now, as the service department has grown, he runs the parts side of the business and the online part shop. Nick enjoys going to the gym and electronic dance music!

Tom Wilkinson

Tom Wilkinson

Master Technician

Tom is our master technician and has grown up from the cott with a spanner in his hands. Toms farther has a wonderful collection of classic cars and Tom has grown up building and restoring these. He is a very competent mechanic with extensive knowledge of both modern and classic cars. Tom owns a Lotus Exige which is his daily driver. 

Charlie Hart

Accounts

Charlie Hart joined the Williams team in 2013 to work in the accounts department. He has been a friend to the Williams family for a very long time and when he is not in the office you can find him as the drummer in the Led Zeppelin tribute band ‘Whole Lotta Led’ 

Rob Scott

Rob Scott

Technician

Rob has always had a passion in cars and motorsport which led him to studying Motorsport engineering at Bristol UWE University. Once Rob had finished he worked restoring Mini’s in which he has a passion for. He then left to join Williams in 2014 after a recommendation from a friend. Rob works as a technician and is involved in racing with Lawrie at the weekends.

Lindon Sugar

Lindon Sugar

Parts

Lindon Sugar is the youngest member of our team. He joined us in 2014 as a parts apprentice and has really helped Nick in the department. In 2016 he took over the running of the hire side of the business and started training as a sales executive to help Paul in Sales.   He is very passionate about sports cars now and has learnt a huge amount over the last few years about Morgan, Lotus and Caterham. Lindon is always on hand to answer any parts or sales questions you may have.

Technician

Paul has worked as a technician his whole life and has an amazing knowledge sports cars. He has worked as a Land Rover Technician for over 17 years and also is a fully trained Lotus Technician. Paul is a very skilled mechanic and has a wonderful working knowledge of car electrics.

Lawrie Mills

Lawrie Mills

Motorsport Technician

Lawrie is one of our most passionate employees with a love for all sports cars. After an apprentice Lawrie moved to Lanzante Motorsport and enjoyed learning and working on some of the best race cars in the world traveling to many race tracks worldwide. Lawrie runs our race workshop building our race cars and looking after customers at the circuit. He is also a passionate member of the Ford club owning a Fiesta ST himself.

David Knott

David Knott

Trimmer

Dave has been a car trimmer man and boy. He started in a trim shop at the age of 16 and this has been his life and passion ever since. Incredibly skilled, Dave must be one of the best automotive trimmers in the UK. Dave has a great sense of humour and customers enjoy chatting to him.

Ashley Williams

Ashley Williams

Detailer and Collections

Ashley Williams is the newest member of our team joining us in late 2016.  Ashley looks after all our car detailing department and also collections. He is very skilled at his job having been a car detailer for many years. He is trained in full paint corrections along with ceramic coatings and bespoke paint finishes.  Ashley also fits our paint protection film kits. He is available to speak to about looking after your car and can quoute you on his bespoke work.

Mike Gardner

Parts

Mike joined Williams in the summer to help Nick in the Parts Department. Mike has worked in parts all he life. Mike has a keen passion for cars and is enjoying the challenge of Morgan, Lotus and Caterham.
