Morgan Plus 8
The new Morgan Plus 8 makes use of technology from the aircraft industry to achieve an unladen weight of 1150kgs. This makes the car the lightest V8 passenger car in the world, which is approved to European safety standards. The car has one of the stiffest chassis in its class.
Superbly responsive, the car is the ideal companion on country and urban roads. You can have all the fun possible in a car with a clear conscience that impact on nature is kept at a minimum. Electronic wheel speed sensors control engine performance for a crisp throttle response. It has been described as ‘a true drivers car’.
The car is the most comfortable Morgan classic that the company has ever built. The convertible mohair roof is easy to erect with a double thickness liner for insulation. There is plenty of space for the tallest of drivers. Air conditioning is standard in the well equipped cockpit which includes a lockable stowage compartment.
The Plus 8 is also the only Classic Morgan available with a six speed automatic transmission. This can be operated in two modes, ‘Sport’ and ‘Auto’. In ‘Sport’ mode the engine holds its gear to maximum revs of 6500rpm and ‘blips’ the throttle before making a down shift. The steering and the ABS brakes are power assisted.

Prices and ordering
The price of the new Morgan Plus 8 in standard specification will be from:
£85,200 - Morgan +8
(For right hand drive cars from January 2012. Includes VAT @ 20%. Delivery, number plates and road fund licence are extra).
To reserve a production slot requires a £20,000 deposit and initial interest is high. Morgan will be allocating cars on a first come, first served basis.
